The ORCHESTRA MANAGER will report to the Artistic Director and Music Director and work closely with the Company Manager. Duties will include but not be limited to day-to-day liaison with musicians, music director and management in organizing the orchestra for all productions; producing schedules in consultation with Ballet production personnel; serving as musicians’ contact and their liaison with conductors and management; ensuring compliance with all contracts and policies, accepting all applications and resumes, organizing auditions as needed, engaging substitute musicians in consultation with music director; and dealing with all exigencies that arise during the course of production runs, sometimes on very short notice. Presence at all orchestra services will be required, as well as accessibility by phone and email for musicians, management, and production personnel.

Duties will also include those of orchestra librarian with responsibility for preparing and distributing all parts for musician use. Some subcontracting of library duties may be possible as needed.
