St. Louis Symphony on Strike

The contract between the Symphony and the musicians’ union expired on January 3, 2005. Although a lot of progress has been made to negotiate terms of a new agreement, the Symphony and musicians have not agreed on base pay. The musicians are the heart of what makes the Saint Louis Symphony one of the leading orchestras in the country, and we are hopeful that a prompt resolution can be found for this work stoppage.
