Music is a gift meant to be shared and explored by anyone, regardless of age and ability. It has miraculous theraputic value and has been a comfort to me, and many people I‘ve known thoughout my life.
I believe the only “dumb” questions are those not asked.I do not believe the key to motivating others to learn is by instilling the “Fear of God” in them. It is not acheived by making condescending or belittling remarks, or any other related negativity.
It‘s attained by a show of support, encouragement , and a consistent effort to make the learning process fun and enjoyable.
My mother, who was a fantastic art teacher once told me, “It‘s not WHAT you say, it‘s HOW you say”. Sadly, she‘s no longer with us, and I realize that statement wasn‘t orginal. However, the manner in which it reached me will be with me forever.
With that in mind, combined with my education, experience, and diverse performance background, passion for my art/craft, I have much to offer to many people, both young and the young at heart from all walks of life. Provided I‘m given the opportunity, I can make learning the piano/keyboard an enjoyable experience that can last a lifetime.
