Teaching Philosophy
Mike Abbott I have been a professional guitarist and instructor for twenty years. I have performed with The Rolling Stone’s horn section, Sammy Davis Jr., Burt Bacharach, Paul Schaffer, Joey Calderazzo, among others. I have a firm grasp of the unique needs which beginner, intermediate, and advanced students possess. I believe that a teacher‘s influence can have tremendous impact on the student, both professionally and personally.

Steven Eulberg Working with students from age 5 to 85. I earned a Master of Music Education degree from Boston University, have worked in the public schools (Poudre R-1) and am the original Guitar instructor at JamPlay.com. I have won 5 prizes in the National Mountain Dulcimer Contest and 3 times been a Finalist in the National Hammered Dulcimer Contest. I teach mountain and hammered dulcimers, guitar, mandolin, autoharp, and African and Irish hand drums. My goal is to help each student sing their soul through their instrument of choice x

Teaching Philosophy

Eric Nohe Eric Nohe has a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance. Mr. Nohe teaches guitar at Mesa State College. He teaches all styles of guitar.
Mr. is the only guitar teacher in the state to have a student accepted in the Yale graduate guitar program and other top graduate schools in the world. Ty Longley, lead guitarist of ‘Great White studied with Mr. Nohe.
Mr. Nohe teaches the fundamentals of music and technique, enabling his student to attain the highest academic and professional goals. x

Larry Sandberg Mostly folk, blues, americana music. Song-based approach based on accompanying songs. Like students to know some theory and note reading. Avoid rote and tablature as much as possible, and encourage creativity. Work on fingering, and on learning concepts and explanations behind things. The old saying: If you give people a fish, you make them dependent; if you teach them to fish, you make them independent. Author of several guitar books and of instructional articles for Acoustic Guitar magazine, teach part-time at Swallow Hill and UCD, decades of experience. x
