Lizary Rodriguez Rios' years of professional experience allow you to rely confidently on her entertaining and performing skills, as she is equally confident performing classical music and popular tunes. She has both a master and doctorate degree in harp performance from the University of Arizona, and two postgraduate degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, Spain. While in Arizona, the young Puerto-Rican was a member of the Grammy nominated international touring group, HarpFusion. She recorded three CDs with the group, featuring her as both harpist and arranger. Among many exceptional honors, Dr. Rodriguez Rios was the first harpist to receive the Centennial Achievement Award in the history of the University of Arizona. She has been heard in numerous recitals in Puerto Rico, Spain and the United States and has been a prizewinner in several international music competitions such as the "Cita di Padova" in Italy and the International Music Tournament in Marseille, France.
