The Junior Symphony Guild, Inc. is a 501©(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the joy of symphonic and classical music to the children of our community.

As music education in our schools continues to be cut, JSG music education programs may be the only exposure some children will have to the wonderful world of live performance and appreciation of the music in their world.

In 1997 the American Symphony Orchestra League in Washington D.C. honored the JSG's "Inside the Orchestra" programs with "best in the nation" for educational outreach. This recognition compared the Guild's work with major symphonies' efforts from coast to coast.

Don't miss the opportunity to see these award-winning programs for yourself:

"Tiny Tots" concerts for ages 3-6
"Inside the Orchestra" programs for elementary schools.

Thomas H. Jensen, Music Director of the JSG has over 30 years experience in educational outreach; creating the Guild's "inside the orchestra" concept and founding the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio. He was also Principal Guest Conductor of the Twin Cities (MN) Institute for Talented Youth.

Mr. Jensen has a background in ballet, having achieved critical acclaim for his work with the Colorado, Joffrey, Nashville and Royal Winnipeg Ballet Companies.

As a broadcaster, Mr. Jensen has hosted his own talk radio shows in Denver, San Antonio, Boston and Minneapolis. This background has been invaluable in the scripting and narration of the FSG's programs.
