Think of Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and you’re almost there! Fat City Mardi Gras Band blends the best of the Fat Tuesday celebration’s music with Blues, Zydeco, Dixieland, and New Orleans funk!
Fat City has performed in celebration for many of life’s events, from birthdays/baptisms (born/reborn) and weddings to funeral wakes and processions. The group continues to perform in many venues, from “small”, private parties to large athletic events (ie Broncos, Nuggets, Crush, and Rockies), from cultural festivals (ie Cherry Pie Festival, Five Points Jazz Festival) to putting the “fun” in funky corporate parties (ie Qwest, ReMax). Fat City normally hears from many clients “If you aren’t wiggling something when Fat City plays, you must be dead.”
The large group is very flexible musically, including a marching brass band version and a dance-able version with a great vocalist! The small group is an opportunity to hire Fat City Mardi Gras Band when you have a limited budget &/or a smaller venue, but you savor the musical flavoring of Fat City.
