Eric Roberts

Guitar & Bass
Eric Roberts is an accomplished guitarist and bassist as well as composer, and has been playing professionally since the age of 16. He holds a B.A. in Music from Ithaca College and a Master‘s in Music from the University of Miami. He has enjoyed a successful career playing in Broadway shows, backing up name entertainers such as Chuck Berry, The Fifth Dimension, The Drifters, Bob Hope, Joan Rivers, Anthony Newley, Maureen McGovern, the Smothers Brothers, recording with the Orchestre Suisse Romande, television appearances and teaching guitar and bass.
Eric‘s own original music encompasses a variety of musical influences from Paul Winter and David Darling to Ralph Towner, Eberhard Weber and Pat Metheny as well as the music of Brazil. His own unique sound comes from a melding of instruments — from the classical guitar, acoustic bass and guitar synthesizer to the mandolin and the bandura (a Ukrainian instrument akin to the harp).

Cella Schieffelin Roberts holds a B.S. in Music Education from Harwick College and a Master‘s in Music Therapy from Florida State University. She has taught in public and private schoools in Florida and New York, working with multi-cultural and multi-generational populations.
She was head music educator/music therapist at the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine in New York City, seat of the world‘s largest gothic cathedral. Cella‘s 4th and 5th grade chorus was chosen to perform a world premiere of the song, “The Family,” composed by Jacquelyn Reinach, celebrating the 1994 “Year of the Family” at the opening session for the General Assembly at the United Nations in New York City. She was also invited back to the U.N. for several encore performances for various celebratory occasions.
