The award-winning, 12-member Colorado Chamber Players, described as “Colorado‘s musical treasure” (Denver Post), is Denver’s most unique and innovative chamber music group, with a passion for new music and original projects. Says the Boulder Camera of a January 2008 Messiaen performance: “Magnificently played!” Now in its 15th season, the CCP was awarded an Argosy Foundation Recording grant in 2008 to record Bruce Adolphe’s “The Tiger’s Ear”, and recently learned it was honored by a prestigious Copland Foundation Award (NYC). Along with playing the music of living composers, the CCP seeks out projects with other Denver groups, and will collaborate for the third time with DTDT in February with “L’Amour”. “Medusa”, a 2007 collaboration with DTDT, earned the praise of World Dance Review: “The CCP’s rendition of the musical score for Medusa was…wonder-filled”. (Donald Atwood). The CCP has been featured on Colorado Public Radio on over 60 broadcasts since 2005.
