Bacchus blends the unique talents of its four players into a sound so sweet it‘s been known to conjure up a few wood nymphs. Even though our group has been known as Bacchus since 1997, the four members of Bacchus have played together for 15 years in various configurations. We‘ve always had way too much fun playing together; we totally connect — it‘s almost as if we communicate telepathically. And that gets communicated in our tight sound, in a totally natural blend of timbres. Nancy McNeill (violin, viola), has a professional resume that is longer than her bowing arm and a collection of 16 violins, which she has played in performances with numerous U.S. and European orchestras and music festivals, including the Colorado Symphony, Denver Chamber Orchestra,Colorado Camerata, Aspen Music Festival, and Grand Teton Music Festival. She is even played during a white-water rafting down the Green River. Currently a member of the Boulder Philharmonic, she also runs an active Suzuki studio in Lafayette. Nancy has studied in the U.S., Italy, Germany, and Switzerland and has taught all levels of students.
