I-Park announces its ninth season hosting The Artists’ Enclave. Artists’ residencies, self-directed/project oriented, will be offered from May through November 2009, with possible off-season sessions in April and December. Most sessions are four weeks in duration. Work samples will be evaluated through a competitive, juried process.
The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM) is disappointed by the Federal Communications Commission’s recent decision to open the television “white spaces” – the frequencies in between television stations – for use by unlicensed, mobile Internet devices. The final order has not yet been released, however, it is reported that the decision relies on unproven, unreliable technology to ensure that these devices do not interfere with wireless microphones.
With your help he did it! Or rather they did it – President-Elect Obama, Vice President Elect Biden, Governor Ritter, Senator-Elect Udall and a host of dedicated Americans from both sides of the aisle and unaffiliated. Be sure to visit

It’s Time to Restore Workers’ Freedom to Form Unions. The Employee Free Choice Act (H.R. 800, S. 1041), supported by a bipartisan coalition in Congress, would level the playing field for workers and employers and help rebuild America’s middle class.

“The business community has joined with labor to oppose three proposals targeting unions: Right to Work (Amendment 47), Paycheck Protection (Amendment 49) and Sole Sourcing (Amendment 54). They have pledged to raise $3 million for the campaigns against those measures. That funding will be collected by a pro-business issues committee, which will approve the way it is spent.”

Bach Piano Concerto in D & Prokofiev Symphony No. 5
Fri-Sat | Nov 21-22 · 7:30 pm
Jeffrey Kahane, music director and piano
Jurgen deLemos, cello
Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony remains the finest of all his symphonies, and arguably one of the greatest symphonic achievements of the 20th century. Prokofiev conceived this work as a symphony about the greatness of the human spirit. The Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Jurgen deLemos, CSO principal cellist, expresses a different side of the human spirit with a beautiful work for cello and orchestra called Schelomo: Hebrew Rhapsody by the great Swiss master Ernest Bloch. Music Director Jeffrey Kahane opens this program with an exquisite, rarely played Keyboard Concerto by Bach, Bach's own arrangement from his beloved E major Concerto for Violin.
Boettcher Concert Hall, Denver. (303) 623-7876

Join Pete Wernick (Dr. Banjo) and his virtuoso combo for an evening of their unique, supercharged "flexigrass" sound, combining bluegrass with traditional jazz elements.
