With a heart for harp and a head for business (she also has an M.B.A.), Barb Lepke-Sims brings a high quality education and first-rate performing skills and experience to her professional work as a performer and teacher.
Education: Her studies have included Michigan's famous Interlochen Music Camp, a Bachelor of Music Education with Honors from University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master of Music in harp performance, as a student of Susann McDonald, from New York's Juilliard School.
Overseas study opportunities took her to Nice, France and the Netherlands. With an interest also in business arising from her former staff position with the New York advertising agency of Wells, Rich & Green, she later returned to CU-Boulder to complete a Master of Business Administration in Marketing. She holds a Colorado Teaching Certificate in K-12 Music.

Ms. Lepke-Sims is currently an Affiliate Professor at Colorado Christian University. She has served on the faculties of Colorado State University, Jefferson County School and Colorado Academy where she has taught numerous private harp students. Barb has held leadership roles as Chairman of the Board; Director at Large and Mid-western Regional Director as member of the Board of Directors; Member of the Executive Committee and 1st Vice-President; Organizing Chairman of the AHS National Conference in Denver (1988); and President of the Mile High Chapter of the AHS.
